WILMINGTON, NC- MCO Transport, Inc. announces major company driver and contractor pay upgrades to take effect July 6, 2007. The new plan was announced July 1st, at a cookout held at the company's home terminal in
"We have increased our pay anywhere from 3% to 30%." explained Ryan Andresen, Vice President of Operations. "Our ultimate goal is to provide our drivers with excellent earning potential and a quality of life not found at typical trucking companies". Some areas changed includes per diem pay for domestic OTR drivers, increased mileage and hourly wages.
Also announced at Sunday's event was a complete revamping of the company's safety and incentive program. "It is our goal to reward safe behavior through recognition and incentives", explained Bill Etheridge, Safety Director. The highlight of the program includes quarterly safety awards and an end of the year drawing with prizes exceeding $5000 in value.
